Ody - 6/7 months old, 14 kg

Ody is one of our most recent rescue pups. He was abandoned in a local community and arrived at Hoja skittish, sick, and skinny. He is a favorite of one of our volunteers, who would love to adopt him if he’s able to.

He’s come a long way since his arrival a couple of months ago! Although he has yet to grow much in size, he’s a voracious eater who has gained weight and is adding muscle to his frame. He’s a gentle sweetheart who is sociable with people, eagerly greeting us in the morning for pets, and he loves to lay on our Crocs under the hammock. He makes adorable sounds (yawns, etc.) and loves his belly rubs! He did not know how to play bite when he first arrived but has figured it out and now affectionately bites much more softly with people.

He can still be a little timid, but he’s steadily improving and going out of his comfort zone. With other dogs, he’s playing more and more with both the older group and Bella’s puppies. He typically prefers to stay on the ecolodge and bark (rather than chasing into the jungle like many of the pups do), but he does like to follow- and follows well- when he comes along on short hikes.

Ody has all his vaccines but has not been neutered quite yet due to his age.
