Rambo - 2 years old, 15 kg

This is Rambo!! He is a living breathing miracle. He came from a home of sever mistreatment in one of the local communities here. We were only able to take him once he was run over by a motorbike and his owner didn’t want a dog that couldn’t walk. He was malnourished, his spine and back legs without movement. We planned to feed him his last meals and get him comfortable for a peaceful passing at Hoja. Within a few days, he was trying to lift his body. And since then, he hasn’t stopped!

He went from being completely incontinent and physically limited to being one of our most active and adventurous dogs! He is at his happiest outside and is great at following us on and off trails through the jungle- rain or shine- for an hour or two, followed by a boost in good mood when we get back and a well-deserved nap. He’s top heavy in musculature, but his back legs are continuing to get stronger- he’s gone from walking with very noticeably stiff back legs a year ago to walking much more fluidly now! He is also our most patient dog during mealtime, politely sitting and waiting for his bowl, which he fully empties and enjoys.

Rambo deserves the best life. A nicer life than the one the jungle provides. He still struggles now and again with super long walks or jumping over fallen trees, sometimes poos himself in his sleep, and his eyes are a little wonky. But he is a beautiful boy and will make the most loving, grateful companion to someone who wants to give him a chance.

He is also neutered and comes with all the vaccines like most of the puppers do!
